10 Must Haves.

Before anything, happy new year guys!

I know it might sound so unlike me to talk about fashion as I am not a fashionista (or any other whatever 'sta's there is out there) but I too, as a woman, have a profound love for fashion, albeit a lil subdued there.

I have received comments and emails before this from you loyal friends who have been so kind to still pop by, moreover read my almost static, dormant blog, to write a skosh on the things I wear, particularly my outfit to weddings.

However, I would think outfit to weddings deserves a post on its own but for now, let's just share on the things I have to have (cause I'm not one to impose on anybody) in my closet.

1. Good white shirt. Many of it.

Be it work wear shirt for office or boyfriend shirt for casual. I don't need to explain the reason for this. It's like oxygen, like air. You gotta have this.

2. White baby tee.

But long enough to cover my butt. This is wardrobe staple too and come in handy in so many ways.

3. Denim jeans.

Regardless of the many hues to it, a girl must have a good, sturdy pair of denim jeans. (I prefer skinnies cause skinnies work well for me)

4. Black skinnies.

For obvious reasons cause black is basic. I can wear them with absolutely anything! Printed top, plain top, white shirt (see?), white tee (see, again?), short dresses (not knee length please).

5. Stripes and Polka Dots.

This, MANY will vouch for me. In ALL colours for me, thank you! Hehe. You should all know that I am a HUGE fan of (horizontal) stripes and dots, I could buy 10 of them and never get bored of it.

So into it, it is SUPER obvious. Hahaha.

6. Watch.

I never leave home without my watch, except if I am going to the wet market. I have a collection of watches that suit almost every occasion but safe to say, I would love to get myself a rose gold watch, a white one and perhaps a royal blue and a fuchsia one in the future. That's my internal monologue speaking out loud, girls. Hehe.

7. Black tote.

A girl must have a black tote. Preferably with gold trimmings. This is mad love for me.

8. Colours.

Now, obviously I need some colour to add a twist to outfit. I usually throw a pop of colour into the outfit that I am wearing. Like if I am wearing black and white and it's a casual day out, I'd bring out my fuchsia or orange coloured handbags to match to it. If it was an office affair, I would bring out more earthy colours to the outfit, or perhaps dark blue or burgundy red to add colour.

But my personal rule of thumb for colours is : no more than 3 - 4 colours at one time. Even if it's a colour blocking mode on, it's never more than 3 - 4. Some people carry them well, but I am not a fan. But then again, that's your preference :)

9. Dresses!

How can I forget? Hehe. For me, it's maxi dresses cause I stopped wearing anything that is short (in my humble, personal pursuit of going the muslimah route, soon, soon hehe) Preferably those in basic colours so I can play around with different cardigans and jackets.

10. Last but never the least, flats.

I am a flats wearer, not much of a heels person though I love looking at them! We'll talk about heels one fine day, shall we? So black and gold flats, beige/nude flats, silver flats, red flats, dark blue flats, fuchsia flats are my essential flats - in whatever forms be it sandals, espadrilles, ballerinas etc. (Oh, I have been eyeing for quite a number from Ezra on Zalora. They have a lot that I like so yeah, they shall become mine some day, real soon hehe)

Just in case you're wondering where I got my pretty red pants from, they're from The Colortree KL which can be found on Instagram.

There you go. My 10 must haves. Forgive me for not posting up photos for each point lest I could do a full swing post, that's cause I don't have enough time to search for them in my many thousand of photos in my phone. But what I have shared are the ones that are more recent, so hope you like it.

I hope to share with you girls (I'm assuming my readers are all girls here haha) on my outfits, traditional and others, to weddings/functions and office wear yea.

Take care lovelies!

The New Face of Johor Bahru.

If you've not been to JB off late, particularly at Jalan Dhoby, please do so. It has "rebranded" itself, so to speak, with new things to explore and more photos to capture. It's a new haven for fashion junkies to vintage collectors or chic hipsters to shop or hang out with friends and families.

So happened I was there for a cousin in law's wedding in February this year and I usually just stay at H's aunt's place and not go out (cause there weren't much to do except go makan at the usual places - It Roo for chicken chop and Tebing for seafood or ikan bakar or balai bomba for ice kacang and kacang pol) but this time around, my perception of JB changed. It now has its appeal. It's becoming the next Jonker St, Malacca albeit in smaller scale, I must say. Do check these places out if you're in that town :)

Jovian Mandagie Aviraya Fashion Show.

I know people are crazy over all Jovian Mandagie RTW collection for Raya and I'm only about to post on the fashion show that I attended with Mel, Shida and Qudyn. Thanks to Que for the invitation, by the way :)

I must admit, his collection this time, are to die for. It was breathtakingly gorgeous, particularly the Couture collection. I loved almost every piece of them, perhaps because Jovian's style has gone down from dramatic to minimalist.

And I must note that the fashion show was brilliant. Felt like it was the first one-of-a-kind fashion show in Malaysia where it was held at the air force military base camp at Sg. Besi. Jaw dropping moments, I swear. Kudos to Jovian's team for a great show.

Anyways, photos galore.

For The Love of Bags.

Truthfully speaking, I’ve always preferred to purchase bags more than shoes. Okay that’s faint lie. I like buying almost everything nowadays, if only money would fall from the sky!

During my school/uni days, I would buy a lot of handbags of all kinds. I used to have about 40 plus of bags in my collection till last year, I realized that this “habit” was making me much of a hoarder that I was not proud of. If space would permit me, I would organize my bags nicely but since I am currently living at my parent’s, I do not have much space to do so.

Anyways, I bought my first designer handbag with my own money, last year. It was a Louis Vuitton Neverfull Damier MM. Trust me, that bag has a special bond with me. I know most men can’t comprehend the relationship between a woman and (designer) handbags but I can’t disagree with them because to their eyes, it’s just a handbag, for gods sake. Lol.

But men, you are wrong. Having a designer handbag, what more purchasing with our own money, gives us a sense of accomplishment to ourselves. I don’t know about others, but in my case it doesn’t come close to “showing off” or the likes, it’s just as simple as rewarding myself for something I have worked so hard for. In fact, having a designer handbag is a form of investment! It has a second hand value, if you men would like to know. Haha!

And ever since I bought that Neverfull handbag, I’ve developed a new (ill) desire of wanting to purchase more – certainly with my own money, somehow, someday. I know I have to be realistic that I can’t afford to buy a freaking Chanel just as yet but with years of savings and a little perseverance, I know this is achievable.

Now I shower you with some of the handbags I would love to have for myself, someday, Insya Allah. Let this be a reminder for myself that it is achievable, if we first, save! Haha.

Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Monogram - just because it's evergreen.

Gucci Joy Guccisima.

Gucci Sukey Medium Tote.

Louis Vuitton Alma.

YSL Muse Handbag in purple.
Furla Candy Bag.

And last but never the least ...

Chanel GST in black.

Chanel Giant Flap in Beige.
Sigh x infinity :)

Reflection 2012.

I know I owe you loooooads of things here but I humbly apologize for the long break. Much has happened, so much to tell but I seem to have lost the interest to blog for awhile. I'll try to update with you one by one but rest assured that that will definitely take a long time. Haha.

Anyways, this is an outdated post but just thought of posting them up here, nonetheless.

Date: 15th Jan 2012
Venue: Black Box, Publika
Reason for going: My sister was involved, ie. modeling for this event and the organizer is one of my close friends ie. Fiena. Thus I was there to support them both :)

Pictures galore.

Sculpted Cutout For Sale!

Hi,

I recently bought this pair in black from Miss OCD but it's tad a bit too high for my liking. It's absolutely brand new, never worn and Size 38. Bought it at RM70+RM8 (postage) but am selling it at RM75 with postage but still negotiable. It's 4inches high with about 1inch platform at the front.

Shoe lovers who are interested, do email me at zaznuriah@gmail.com or drop a comment here. Thanks!

* For more info, check out Miss OCD.

Btw, went to Zara & Mossimo Dutti's warehouse sale earlier today, got myself two pairs of Zara blazers worth of about 500 bucks for only 150. Thanks Sarah of Bridal Supernova for recommending. My fiance and I (especially him) went on a shopping spree :)

Shoes and More Shoes.

Remember when I mentioned about my shoe collection? Last two weekends, I made a necessary and (super) impulse purchase.
The necessary:
Bill Keith Champagne Gold Heels for the reception. Yayers! One more thing to check off.

and......

The super impulse:

(by chance and a whole world full of luck, this pair of shoes were on super massive extreme cheap price...)

SF's Nude Pumps ♥♥

Just what I was looking for ie. a pair of nude pumps. I was already thinking of going to Charles & Keith - something which I so can afford at the moment but kalau rezeki dah datang bergolek, takkan tak beli kan? I swear I wasn't looking for any designer items but luck came knocking on my door, I would be stupid if I didn't buy it :)

*Can you sense my big grin now? :D*

Is it 31st Already?

Oh no. Time really awaits for no man.

How have you all been? Good? No?

As pour moi, I've never actually worked round the clock this much, although I very much enjoy my work. I just got back from Johor for a meeting, assisting two other senior officers. In 24 hours I went to Nusajaya and Gelang Patah, ate at Singgah Selalu, took a stroll at Danga Bay to watch the sunset, dined at the latest hub in town named Banafee and most of all, attended a meeting at the majestic building at Bukit Timbalan. It was such an honour to be given this opportunity. I feel truly blessed to be an officer from the Chambers. Syukur Alhamdulilah.

Just yesterday we celebrated Sherry's belated birthday at Gardens, The Curve over lunch with the other usual suspects. Had their Garden Sandwich and Soda Green Apple. I think they have the nicest sodas in town. Then Nurule, Tt and I headed to OU - I wanted pay my credit card bill and Tt wanted to head on to Cotton On to continue with her "earlier adjourned" shopping fiesta at the same place. Hehe. Stopped by Bimba & Lola and saw the (prettiest) tan oxford booties that I have been eyeing on for quite some time was still there, like it was waiting for me to buy her and be the owner and seriously, if I didn't have to save money for the wedding, I'd purchase them right away. No doubts about that (or I will prolly just buy them later once I've got extra moolahs to stash hehe) Women and shoes. C'mon, nothing new.

Oh, through out the one year period of working, I have bought NUMEROUS tops/etc but I only bought ONE new pair of working pants. Terrible isn't it? I've been wearing the same pants that I have during Hons Degree because they're still in tact, except for one la and that's only because I think I'm mengembanging. Pants can't mengecut right? Hoho. Stopped by Charles and Keith wanting to buy a particular handbag but takde dah but ended up buying another handbag. Okay why do I feel like a bimbo by writing all this huh? Haha. Dah lama tak blogggggg. Gimme a break. I bought a handbag that looks almost the same as my fav handbag at Anya Hindmarch! Gila apa tak beli? Anya's costs about 4k. C&K's? :) And theeeeen,,,,, we went to Coach. I wanted to show to the girls the handbag that I liked but ONE of us ended up buying one. Hehehehehe. Gila weh! Her first designer handbag! Gimme 5! Once the wedding is over and all bills are paid off, watch out kedai-kedai. Tapi cannot la like this. Bankrupt. Hahaha.

Watched Tooth Fairy last night with Hash. Julie Andrews tak change langsung don't you think? Right from The Sound of Music up till now, she's THE Julie Andrews lah. I've always admired her poise, demeanour and elegance. She doesn't need to be a queen, she's already a queen by her own definition. Classic! How was Dwayne Johnson? I think he's found his forte in film industry now and they involve kids. Oh remember, never be a dream killer, always believe in dreams because dreams do come true :)

By the way, have you seen the Legion? I can briefly sum up by saying that it's relatively a good movie to watch in that it has a message that the Almighty God is Great and Fair, although the storyline is a bit misleading and bias to their interpretation of their holy book. And angels and guns? So wrong! Anyhoots, Old Dogs is a cute see. If you're a fan of Robin Williams and/or John Travolta then might as well hop on over.

Why do I feel that I still have so much to share? Hehe. Macam 1001 cerita lagi nak tell. But, okayy I take "cognizance" that this post is long enough. Will do another one on January weddings. Ttfn!

Chup, how do you like me new layout?

Oh Dear G!

I've been wanting to write a travelog-sorta on Jakarta/Bandung ever since I came back but seriously dude, I have no time! I have deadlines to meet and to prepare for my book review presentation this Friday and obviously, that's an area that's still untouched unfortunately. However ironically (banyaknya '..ly..ly'), remember the post on 'Reading Stint'? God is Great, people. He is The Greatest! Who would have thought that with my intention to read a book a month was going to help me with my book review this Friday?

Alhamdullilah, I have read the book and I seriously recommend that every human being, as a human being, do take and make time to read it. I won't tell you my reasons why because that'll only kill the surprise for my review later (as if it's gonna rock your socks off anyway haha)

Aaaanyways, am taking time off from looking at my work for a bit to make rather two announcements here. My very good friend Rashida Rafar and her little sister will be leaving for the UK this September 10th in pursuit of their education happiness :) And I on the other hand, will be leaving to ... MY SISTER'S room from MY BEDROOM! Gotcha there huh? Okay lamethanksbye. Haha. Finally, my 'super vintage' room will be refurnished and refurbished starting next week. It'll only be for awhile though til the room is ready for occupation. God knows how long it took me (and still taking) to evacuate the room! I was literally walking down the memory lane whilst at it. Will post up pictures of before and after once it's all good to go okie?

The other announcement would be
this. Did you click on the link? Yeah, Allthatfash will be collaborating with Odds & Evens (wholly owned by Shida) to sell our brand new and pre-loved items! Since Shida's leaving and I am in the midst of clearing stuff, we jumped at it. Yes, it was an impromptu decision but we are excited! Details are as such:

Wealth Is Meant To Be Shared, Not To Be Kept In Your Closet.

As I have mentioned in my fb for all of you who have access to my fb, duhh, hehe, am helping out my mom's best friend to market her handmade gorgeous bracelets and tasbihs! Selling for RM45 for one, RM85 for two, and so on and so forth. (I bought three!!!)

Take a look and if you wish to see more, do check out my fb or email me :) Mucho love and thanks!

Remember, wealth is meant to be shared, not to be kept in your closet! (Of course I don't mean to say that you should spend it unnecessarily. You can spend your savings but make sure to use them wisely! And this one, you can wear for rayas, weddings, engagements, dinner functions, girls night outs, lunches! See, it's verrryy practical - However you interpret them to be *wink* :p)
