Wedding Album Part 4 : Outdoor Photoshoot.

If you're wondering where this is, it's just somewhere in Wangsa Melawati housing area play ground.
Hehe. Nothing fancy of that sort but yeah, we do have decent places to shoot here in KL :) And just so you know, when we did this photoshoot, I was 4 months preggers. Quite hard to notice ay? Lol.

Wedding Album Part 1 : Akad Nikah.

I just realized that I've never shared with you the end result of my wedding albums. I know it's been a year and basi already but for the sake of sharing, why not kan? Plus, it's quite hard to bring around too though. They're huge and heavy haha.

Anyways, pictures from Bliss Candid Photography, Fad Manaf and my girlfriends - Mel, Dalia, Ems & Kak Liza.

Editing and the whole works below are by Bliss Candid Photography.

My review: Loves it! Will upload the next albums in the next posts :)

Pour Lui.

I know the wedding was way 9 months ago but I never really posted pictures of my hantaran to Hashley. Actually, I was reading Heed's blog, caught her "wedding blog syndrome" and decided to write a blog post on the hantaran. Truthfully speaking, you can never get enough or perhaps won't ever forget the feeling of being a bride. It's probably one of the best things that can ever happen to you and I bet many other former brides can agree to this. Oh well, life goes on and insya Allah, I'll get to feel yet another exciting feeling which is to be mom, yay! And I have every intention to be a stylish and super cool mom to my baby, amin, insya Allah :)

So anyways, there's a story behind these hantaran arrangement. I should get over with this (of which I am but I just thought of sharing with you the actual story to this).

I engaged XX to do my arrangement. Paid the deposit several months before the big day and the remaining was to be paid on the day of collection. So on the night, prior to the wedding, I asked my friends to help pick up the hantaran in hoping that it was amazingly decorated but they took such a longggg time to come back with the gifts.

At close to 1 am in the morning (yes, 8.5 hours before the akad!) they finally brought back the items and guess what, my gifts were safe to say "halfly decorated". I remembered in our agreement that the flowers to be used were eustomas, sweet williams and another flower which I can no longer recall, but to my disappointment and much anger, she did the arrangement with only 1 type of flower which was the white eustomas! It was so ugly, bare and empty. In fact, I was told by my girls that they had to wait for her to do it while my friends were there - meaning it was not done yet!

I got so angry but tried to remain as calm as possible, called her up in the middle of the night (and again I emphasize on the hours before the akad!) to ask her what's going on with the hantaran and why did it look like what it was. Guess what, she had the guts to blame me that I was the one who wanted 1 type of flower only and even said "if you want me to fix it, you have to come back here and send the stuff to me cause I have to take care of my baby". How unprofessional! I remember saying to her I wasn't going to pay the remaining balance and that I was utterly disappointed with her. To date, I still have some of her things and if she wants it, she has to face me and my music first.

I was freaking out but was too tired to think so I grabbed and dragged Kem Salleh (of Kapas Couture - who did my dais and entire house deco) to my room, showed him how "beautiful" my hantarans were. He stood there, looked at me and said, "what happened?". I poured my hearts out to him and at last my uncle, aunty, Kem and two of my bgffs - the 24 hours team I call them - stayed up the whole night and redecorate my hantaran. They did from scratch, finding empty small boxes, using extra white cloth to make the flowers stand out more and lucky me Kem had extra flowers. I was forced to sleep by my uncle and at 6.30 am, the below photos were my hantaran to be given to Hashley. Masya Allah, aren't they gorgeous?

So lesson to be learned, check with your decorator if he/she has more than 1 job in a day. If your decorator has more than 2 jobs in a day, don't commit yourself to them.

Above all, all things happen for a reason, yes?
