Second Trimester.

My, my, before you know it, it's already May and that means I'm two months away from giving birth to my baby insya Allah and I've just entered my third and final trimester. Time is super fleeting I must say.

Alhamdulillah, the journey through out my second trimester was alright. I did experience that terrifying leg cramps in the middle of the night albeit just twice. I remember screaming in pain and having sore calf that morning, resulting in me limping my way all day through.

Except for one day I had severe pain on my right calf. I wasn't able to stand at all let alone move, I remember reading Baby Center on 'Signs or Symptoms You Should Never Ignore' and severe pain on right calf was made into the list. Initially I thought it was just a cramp but it didn't become the actual cramp - it's nowhere in between. So I decided to see my gynae and check what's going on with it. He checked and said, "well the symptoms show like it's a case of deep vein thrombosis (dvt) but you don't have high temperature and your feet's not heaty so it's definitely a case of lack of calcium."

Phew. Syukur it was not anything serious. He subscribed me to Obical (a calcium supplement) to be taken twice daily for a week and once everyday after then. So far, my feet's back to normal although I had another cramp attack just last week.

And there was this one day that I could neither sit or stand up straight. There was pain on the right side of my ovary that restricts my abdominal movements, making me bending down and nothing else. Hashley got quite worried so we went for a check up, gynae did an ultrasound fearing that it could be appendicitis or a cyst, but found out that it was actually the baby's head situated right next to the bladder hence the pain was as a result of that. Funny lah baby ni. Sempit ya, perut mummy kecik. Hehe.

Back aches were becoming more and more customary rather than exceptional, which I believe it's due to the fact that my entire body and muscle were pulling and stretching to pave way for the growing belly and increasing weight.

We did our anomaly scan, gender scan - it's a girl, apparently :) (tapi still cannot be too confident kan), and 3D scan. Alhamdulillah, everything is normal, with now baby weighing about 800g - 1kg (and I have gained 12kg!) Our baby seemed to look more like daddy (ye lah girl bagus lah if looks like the father, so they say hehe) so round, chubby cheeks, masya Allah, technology nowadays, we can now figuratively see how our baby will look like.
Above all, Allah is All Knowing.

Other than that, everything was just normal. I wasn't eating as much as I did (in quantity) before but rather, eating frequently but little at a time (but my little is not so little lah haha). Oh, I have no idea why but I eat ice cream or drink Iced Chocolate almost everyday! Not good kan but what to do? Suka sangat! But I make sure I drink loads of plain water after. Guilty pleasure betul. Hehe.

I hope to write more of my baby mommy experience in this last leg of my pregnancy. Now we've just started buying stuff for preparation of the coming baby, particularly stuff to be put in the hospital bag.

So ... friends and family, look out for my list soon haha!
