Curious.
Is it just me or that I have come to realize that everyone is turning into everyone else? Everyone's singing the same song and humming the same tune. It seems that being different is cool. Being different represents a unique self. But when everyone tries to be 'different' by trying to look like everyone else BUT forgot about their ownself, what's left in yourself?
Fashion is addictive, that's something highly indisputable - even I am myself caught in that beautiful stigma. Everyone wants to be stylish, everyone wants to be updated with current trends and everyone wants to look (and possibly feel) good about themselves. Who doesn't? But when everyone tries to look like everyone else, what ever happened to originality?
In essence, how we are as a human being is not perceived a hundred percent via the way we dress or how updated we are with the fashion du jour. It's okay if we want to be fashionable or be seen as a fashionista, just as long as you are original, be grounded and stick true to yourself. Whatever it is, fashionista should be a reputation earned, not a self-proclaimed title.
And the weirdest thing about fashion is that, sometimes those with tons of money have no fashion sense at all. Because they want to look like everybody else, they just falter. Heck they care about whether looking good in it or not, as long as they're wearing the same thing like everybody else is. But usually it is those who don't have much, have the highest fashion sense because it's obvious that less is more.
I guess the saying less is more is applicable to all sorts of things. In this kind, less trying to be someone else and more of being yourself is far better. Beauty is skin deep and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, not the tapered pants or romper that you're wearing ;)
Okay, I think I'm writing crap here. Haha. Chalo!
