Material Pleasures.

Hold up hold up. This entry isn't on my engagement just as yet but instead, I'd like to post up pictures of my newly refurnished room - its befores and afters as promised about a month ago.

Before.

1960s wall paper, mirror and superking Italian bed. Loads of stuff and clutter. Tsk!

After!

A mixture of contemporary and vintage, although not 100% readily decorated yet. 2009's latest colours - fushcia and light gray walls, champagne colour black out curtains with dark gray ribbon sashs and sheer white day light curtains, new damask bedside lamps and tables, dressing table and mirror. Never throw away the essence of the room. Leave some vintage stuff like what I did, the grill and the bed.

So how did you like the room? I can't (hardly) wait to get the black and white shaggy carpets, a radio/(new) iPod with iPod speakers, a couple of wall shelves and black and white frames, but there are stuff in the store to deal with first. Woot!
